Mens teams / trial session 17th October

Hi all

You may have seen in the committee minutes over recent times that the PLTC Team tennis has been progressing very well with the Men's and Ladies' teams competing in more advanced competitions than in previous years (national league and Div 1 county). Regular coached training sessions have been implemented, which have contributed significantly to the teams' successes.

In order to continue in years to come the club is keen to ensure the development is also supported at grassroots levels towards team tennis, where promising youngsters can join adults to compete on behalf of the club. We would like to see the young talent being nurtured by adults and provide a pathway through for anyone to progress towards the top levels within the club. Equally, over time adults in existing adult teams will naturally need to be supported (and likely replaced) by younger players coming through to continue to contribute to the teams' successes.

To start off this plan, we would like to invite players interested in the above to a session on Thursday 17th October from 6.30pm - 8pm. We will have a number of courts available with coaches on hand to run the session and supported by representatives from the current teams. Please register your interest with Paul Turner - email ptctennis@me.com

We are looking for players who are intermediate standard (leagues 3-6) approx and are keen to play more competitive tennis through coaching and training sessions

Many thanks

Paul Turner (Head Coach) and Paul Goss (1st team captain)
