Junior coaching update

Hi All

We are in the final week of term and the coaches have been impressed by the progress and effort of the players.

Next term is 7 weeks

Start date : Monday 5th June

End date: Sunday 23rd July

You will automatically be enrolled into the same class for next term unless we have spoken to you. Paul will send invoices early next week - to confirm your place please pay before the class starts.

18U Club Championship

We will be running an 18U mixed singles club championships on finals day Saturday 1st July. If you would like to enter please contact Coach Tess on 07962 870642 for the booking link. Entry is free and all results will be added to your world tennis number. There will be a great buzz at the club on the day and we very much hope that our older junior players will support this fun event!

Junior Team Tennis News

We are very proud of our 8U red ball team who participated at the Weald on 14th May against Pav & Av, Weald and Steyning. All our players were new to competition and despite no match experience they finished in 2nd place! Well done to Isaac Richardson, Marcel Majewski, Luka Viduka and Sofia Rios-Cooke.

Our 14U boys team have won both their fixtures against Horsham and Billingshurst tennis club. They played their first fixture in hail, thunder and lightning! Congratulations to Elliott Porter, Finn Bell and Matthew Tran. Good luck in your next match scheduled sunday 28th May at Holbrook tennis Club.

We hosted the 10U team tennis challenge at Preston on Saturday, 29th April with Chichester Rackets Club and Pav & Av competing. We finished in second place, there were some very close matches and excellent tennis. Well played to our amazing 10U team - Robbie Brown, Jack Beccerilli, Henry Hansen and Sarang Kim.

We have two 14U girls team playing in the league this summer. The girls have come up against some very difficult opponents at Storrington and Comptons. Well done to Vasilisa and Jazz for winning their singles matches in the Comptons fixture on 7th May.

LTA Prime Girls Tennis

We are very pleased that we are one of only four clubs in Sussex accredited to deliver the new LTA Prime Youth girls tennis course. This is a new initiative to encourage more girls to join and stay in tennis. We have 29 girls aged 5 - 9 enjoying their tennis on a wednesday afternoon. We are hoping that they will continue their tennis journey with us after half-term with a new follow-on course and a tennis festival and party on Wednesday 21st June.
