Family Generation Doubles - Sunday, 26th April 3pm - 6pm

Junior Summer Social & Barbecue - DATE FOR YOUR DIARY!

Friday, 19th June. On court games 5.00pm - 5.45pm with the coaching team followed by a barbecue made by our Junior Reps Laura and Gemma. Please bring some protein of choice!

FAGE LTA Youth Competition Pilot Offer

Both phases of the pilot have now been completed and detailed feedback forms for each competition have been sent off to the LTA Competitions Hub. The club has been asked to take part in a focus group along with the other deliverers running the various pilots across the country. This will take place on Monday, 13th April and will gather insight and on-the-ground experiences of delivering these pilots and other youth competitions. Thank you to all the junior players who have participated in the yellow ball competitions and for your valuable feedback.

Sunday Teenage Matchplay Spring/Easter Series

The Spring/Easter series teen matchplay was completed on 9th April with a total of 18 players competing. Congratulations to 1st place winner Freddie Wicks on 143 points, 2nd place Lewis Luong Le Edwards on 114 points and 3rd place David Paulic on 104 points. Well done to all the players and look forward to kicking off the Summer Series on Sunday 3rd May.

Junior Achievements

We are proud of all our junior players but in particular we highlight the following:-

Sofia Lockyear won her first 9U grade 5 competition at Oxted in easter holidays and also represented Sussex in the 9U girls county cup at Bromley at the end of February.

Esme Brady-Rogerson represented Sussex in the 18U girls county cup in Hull in March. Esme still plays in the 16U category so this is a fantastic achievement.

Robbie Brown won a LTA 16U grade 5 boys singles tournament hosted at Preston on 15th March and also finishing in 4th place at another LTA 16U grade 4 singles event at Preston on 21st March. Again a great achievement as Robbie still plays in the 14U category.

Isaac Richardson won a LTA 10U grade 5 tournament in Croydon and also runner-up in the 10U boys doubles in the February half-term.

Rafe Ironside won his first LTA 9U grade 5 boys singles tournament in Preston Park in the February half-term.

Marcel Majewski won a LTA 10U grade 5 boys singles tournament at Billingshurst in the February half-term.

Flo Rajak won her first LTA 16U girls singles tournament at Storrington beating the number 1 seed in the semis and the number 2 seed in the final!

Zoe Bent, Edie Golding and Ava Olulode who have been picked to represent Sussex in the 8U county cup at Bromley at the end of the month. Go for it girls!

Sussex Summer Junior League Team Tennis

Good luck to all the teams competing in the summer junior Sussex league. We have a bumper number of teams participating as follows:-

8U mixed team competes at the Weald on Saturday 2nd May against Pav & Av, The Tennis Cafe Eastbourne and Hollingbury Park
9U mixed team
10U boys competes on Saturday 13th June against Lindfield, Meads and Pav&Av
12U boys - first fixture at home on Saturday, 25th April against Amherst. Good luck to Arwyn and Oliver.
14U girls x 2 teams - first fixtures on Sunday 10th May against Chichester and Storrington.
14U boys 4 - first fixture on Sunday 10th May against Storrington
16U girls - first fixture on Sunday 3rd May against Maresfield
16U boys - dates to be decided!
